Matthew Lombardi
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer, Matthew is responsible for Atlantic Metro’s day-to-day-operations, as well as leading the company’s growth and development of managed technology services. He is dedicated to helping Atlantic Metro’s customers succeed, overcome IT challenges, and enable their business growth. Matthew is responsible for creating and expanding strategic partnerships and relationships, as well as overseeing the company’s technical and business strategy alongside founders Stephen Klenert and James Cornman.
Matthew is an established business leader with over 25 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Atlantic Metro in 2010, Matthew spent 18 years as the Vice President of Information Technology at Toys”R”Us and was instrumental in the development and implementation of the company’s e-commerce platform. He has held influential leadership roles as the President and COO at Planet Technology Solutions, President at Vytek Wireless Solutions, Chairman and CEO at Sentinel Business Systems, and Senior Vice President at DecisionPoint Systems. Matthew has had a successful career developing and leading profitable IT organizations; he now works with Atlantic Metro to achieve the same success.
Roy A. Ceccato
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Ceccato joined Atlantic Metro in December 2012, as a financial consultant and is now the acting CFO of the Company. His primary focus has been on preparing the Company’s financial statements for full audit by providing best practices and effectively presenting the Company’s assets and professional strengths to the financial community. He is the principal architect of our current financing activities which include major capital leases from OEM’s and a credit facility with a tech-centric commercial senior lender. He also heads up our strategic acquisition plan and provides requisite due-diligence expertise.
Prior to joining Atlantic Metro, Mr. Ceccato was the Vice President of Finance for DecisionPoint Systems, Inc., (“DPSI”) a position he held from July 2007 through October 2012. He played a key role in DPSI, a publicly traded company where he was responsible for Mergers and Acquisitions, major contract reviews, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and external financial reporting for SEC public reporting requirements. From April 2004 until June 2007, he was a Director and CFO of a tri-state environmental remediation contractor. He has also served in various prior roles as Director and Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance of several publicly traded companies in service and manufacturing industries and listed on all the major stock exchanges.
Stephen Klenert
Chief Strategy Officer & Co-Founder
Stephen Klenert is the Chief Strategy Officer and co-founder of Atlantic Metro. He is the visionary behind the company’s approach to overcoming complex technology challenges faced in today’s business environment. Stephen is no stranger to thinking outside the box and his creative problem solving has enabled him to design industry leading service offerings that solve niche market problems. As CSO, Stephen is not only responsible for formulating strategy, he has also architected and automated many aspects of Atlantic Metro’s operations. He drives process improvement throughout the organization, ensuring that the decisions made by various departments align with Atlantic Metro’s strategic plan and overall objectives. His motivation, hands on approach, and love of Internet technology have enabled him to achieve continuing success in the telecommunications and IT industry.
Prior to founding Atlantic Metro, Stephen established several Internet start-ups including Digital Providers, Metro Xchanges NFP, and PeeringSmith. He has held lead technologist roles at TELEHOUSE America, NY International Internet eXchange (NYIIX), and Los Angeles Internet eXchange (LAIIX). Stephen offers a wide range of expertise in Internet data center operations, network design, deployment, and meet-me room operations. His significant operational and management experience makes him exceptionally knowledgeable about developing effective infrastructure solutions and technology strategy.
James Cornman
Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder
In his role as Chief Technology Officer, James defines the technological strategy and initiatives critical to achieving Atlantic Metro’s corporate goals and success. James is responsible for the development of business-critical infrastructure services, as well as complex network design, project deployment, and support systems. He works closely with senior executives and Atlantic Metro’s Network Operations Team to execute the company’s strategic priorities and ensure that services are successfully implemented. James is dedicated to developing positive client relationships and delivering custom solutions that help customers leverage technology.
Previously, James served as the CEO and founder of CRNC, a company built on the foundation of providing reliable and efficient infrastructure solutions. He has also held significant roles at several technology start-ups and senior network engineering positions at Vonage and Net Access where he designed and managed complex networks. Cornman’s approachable and pragmatic leadership style encourages collaboration and pushes Atlantic Metro to stretch beyond its current capabilities, driving the innovation across the company. His technical expertise and years of experience in the field of telecommunications have earned him a reputation as an industry thought leader.
Steve Oakie
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Steve joined Atlantic Metro in 2012 and leads Atlantic Metro’s sales, marketing, and business development activities. A seasoned sales and marketing professional, Steve has over 20 years experience leading technology sales and marketing teams, providing consulting, software and networking solutions to retail brands in the specialty and fashion industries.
Steve began his career in IT and then followed his passion for sales and shifted into selling technology, initially with an Internet startup in the mid90’s. Following the success and sale of that venture, Steve joined CRS/Epicor, a leader in Point of Sale, Merchandising and Cross Channel Order Management Software. After continued escalating responsibilities, he led their North American Sales, driving year-over-year sales growth, building long-standing relationships across many global retail brands.
Steve expanded his retail fashion experience by joining Alvanon as SVP of Global Sales and Marketing. Alvanon helps apparel brands increase efficiencies in their product development processes by applying science and technology along with the latest body measurement data to improve their overall fitness. Prior to joining Atlantic Metro, Steve recently led Sales and Marketing for Reliant Security, a data security, networking, and in-store computing solutions provider to retail brands. Steve has leveraged his success and experience in sales and account management to help Atlantic Metro expand its customer service and support teams to deliver world-class customer support.
Timothy P. Ray, Esq.
General Counsel
Mr. Ray joined Atlantic Metro as General Counsel in January 2011. His background is in supporting, developing and building companies both as a C-Level executive and General Counsel.
Beginning 2005, he served as President and COO of Peleton Systems, Inc., an IT consultancy offering Solution Architecture, Implementation Services and Support Services to a wide variety of clients. Prior to Peleton Systems, he served as the CEO of Cresta Testing, Inc., a global IT services organization specializing in the construction and execution of leading QA and testing methodologies and infrastructures. In 2005, Cresta Testing was acquired by a publicly traded, billion dollar IT service provider. Prior to joining Cresta Testing, he was the COO of Vytek Solutions, a wireless and mobile computing solutions provider where he materially increased sales in the course of two years. Mr. Ray has driven numerous business-transforming initiatives among struggling and fast-paced companies alike. Prior to Vytek, he practiced as a corporate attorney for over ten years, counseling large and small clients through strategic mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings, employment issues and various litigation matters.
