Ten years ago today, my partner, Stephen Klenert, and I set out on our mission to shape our new business into a major, nation-wide provider of Managed IT Infrastructure Services. At the time, I was not certain where this path would lead us and how much we would grow. I merely wanted to act on my long-standing talent and passion for architecting IT environments with the freedom of being my own boss.
Along this journey, we’ve had marked success in cultivating a robust network of customers and partners, which, in turn, has warranted expansion across the country and created the demand for several key acquisitions. We’ve broadened our product offerings to include cloud hosting, in addition to network connectivity and colocation, and honed in on our market with precision. Over the past ten years, there has been much consolidation in the market, several shifts in technology as a whole, and many different needs have surfaced due to the availability and increased demand for high-speed connections to the Internet. We have built our business around helping our customers to overcome these challenges and leverage technology successfully.
While we have great deal of work ahead of us, I want to take this opportunity to reflect and thank all of our customers, employees and partners that have passed through our doors over the last decade. Atlantic Metro’s objective has always been to work with people to architect scalable, reliable solutions to solve persistent IT problems, and I believe we’ve been rather successful at seeing that through.
Happy Birthday, Atlantic Metro.
